One of the most technical projects Talbot has built to date is this Maharishi Vastu home designed by architect Henry Dearborn. Located in New London, NH, this home was created from the key elements of Vastu design, which are based on the precise impact of the Sun and the other celestial bodies on human life. The relationship between the North and South Poles and the equator was pivotal in siting and locating the distinct orientation of this home. Vedic buildings also incorporate the contemporary elements that contribute to wellness: natural and nontoxic construction materials, improved air quality, reduced electromagnetic radiation, and embrace plentiful views of nature.

This project required the expertise of dozens of specialty subcontractors and fine craftsmen to create this personalized home. Its custom features include three full levels of living, rooftop balconies, a family gym, sauna and steam showers, a dual-sided fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, and a pyramid skylight. The rules of Maharishi Vastu Precision of Architecture require the home to be built within a 1/8” tolerance from the foundation to the roof framing. After passing this inspection and other milestones, it will soon become a certified Vastu Home.
